I'm Erin Williams, a Black artist and creative currently based in St. Louis. I specialize in drawing, abstract acrylics, and printmaking. My work has been featured in various newsletters and sites, I have led workshops and painting classes, and in Fall 2021 I began earning an MFA in Illustration and Visual Culture from Washington University in St. Louis. What does black joy look like to you?
Happiness! Freedom! Summertime! Warmth and acceptance. Doing as I damn well please. Watching other Black people shine and achieve their dreams. Anything posted on instagram by my dear friend, Nicole Crowder. When I shave my head and like what I see. Stevie Wonder, now and forever.
