Zion Harris is a multi-dimensional, multi-faceted, multi-hyphenate artist living and working in New York City. As a poet, his work reflects and critiques the past, present, and future landscapes of our shared reality. Rooted in the belief that poetry can give consciousness a voice, he writes not only for himself but for collective understanding and healing. His practice captures the lyricism and abstraction of human experience, aiming to create spaces where readers can see, free, and heal themselves. Through his words and presence, Zion channels poetry as a tool for reflection, connection, and transformation.
A people
(11.7.24)
back-breaking betrayals.
whipped cream and crack, White Delight
candies and dandies.
policies and policing.
Back in isolation.
nowhere unfamiliar.
You’ve detached yourself from the delays of delusion.
Cultivating nightmares will always be their dream.
but remember, there is infinite color
on the other side of a black hole. I’m certain.
Just like reality on the other side of a dream.
truth on the other side of a scheme.
silence on the other side of a scream.
